However it is not running so well.  Carb (Single on 800cc) needs a run or clean out, hesitating when blip the throttle. I have B12 in the gas so we will see if I can run it out.

Wow, that really is a nice paint job!  And two great classy, nostalgic-looking bikes.  Very nice indeed.  They put anything I have to shame.

Nice bikes.   cooldude

I'm sure you know, but the monoshock/softail Kawi 800 is actually more of an accurate rendition of the old hard tail Hog or Indian of it's day than the 1500 with twin shocks.

Not that I'd give up a 1500 motor for an 800.

I had an 800 A model for 3-4 years.  It was easier teaching my wife to ride, following her around in neighborhoods, parking lots and back roads on the water cooled 800, than my 1340 EVO dresser (which got hot as hell putting around slow all day).

Then, after she graduated from the old Honda CM250, to a Honda VLX 600, she then moved up my 800A chase bike.  It would do 112 (after which I begged her to please not go that fast again.... right by parked troopers).  I have no idea why they gave her a pass.  It might have been the blond hair and nice build.  Either that or they were sleeping with the radar off.

Like this, but a solo seat.  That 21" narrow (90) front tire tended to wander though. The B model was a better bike IMHO.
