I recently removed my speaker housing to access the inside of my fairing. Needless to say, I stripped out several of the brass parts that the screws go into. I purchased replacement brass, but would appreciate any tips or suggestions on securing the brass back in place. Thanks

If you look at the back of the part the screw goes into you will see that there is a round disc in the middle. Push or tap it back toward the front of the insert. Put a dab of JB Weld into the hole where the insert was and push the insert back into place. Take a small punch and tap the middle of the insert all the way to the back. Run the screw in and out of the insert and wait for the JB Weld to cure. You then have been able to reuse the old insert and it will not come back out again.

a little antiseize on the threads should stop it from bonding to the JB weld. Apply a small amount on the screw, thread it in, use that to get the insert to bottom out, and then remove. This is what I did on my broken bases in the fairing.
