Is the mounting kit for a VTX 1800 the same as one for the Valk? or is it really that model specific?

They gave me the VTX mount. They said that they did not have a specific Valk mount due to the age of the bike. The mount does work, the quick disconnect works fine, but I feel it slopes back too far toward the rider, another inch in the bracket, (the part that between the fork mount and the fairing mount, on the top only) would probably put it where I want it.
As usual, those are my thoughts, you may like it where it is at when you get it hooked up.
