Ok, I know this is a wind deflector off an Interstate fairing, but I don't know what or why those holes are drilled on the edge of it for??   Anybody have a clue???...

That is the first one of them that i have seen with the holes on the outside edge like that.

My guess is it was done after he bought them. Maybe he had some leather laced through them kinda like tassles.

It also looks bent more than mine.   I thought the holes might be for lace, but they look too small.... I then thought maybe for adding some disturbance to the wind coming off the edge of it.  But I figured I would ask here and see if someone knows why or has done it for either cosmetic (lace) or aerodynamic (wind disruption) reasons......

both good guesses......
