My beloved R/G found her way home yesterday afternoon, after a 250 mile winding pleasure ride.
I had an independent mechanic (whom I use faithfully) install new Progressive shocks on the rear,
Progressive mono-tube suspension up front, rear pulley and belt, cams and lifters, new bearings where needed, and anything else that looked "well ridden" and needed attention.

As soon as my ass slid down on the seat, I could feel the memory foam gently massage the cheeks of my ass into place....I flicked the starter button and a huge grin appeared on my face. With a nod of appreciation to my mechanic, I rolled on the throttle and turned out of his parking lot.

Laurel had dropped me off, and waited to make sure everything was good before she left and came home.  I told her I'd be home in an hour or so, knowing full well the 23 miles from shop to home 'could possibly be slightly longer' than the hour I had told her....Little did I realize I was going to basically empty the 6 gallons of Sta-Bil mixed 7 month old high test gas, and fill with fresh petro !!!
Once off the main road and headed towards back country riding with rolling hills, wide open fields, brooks and streams, I once again heard the echoing exhaust bouncing from hills to trees and across the open fields. I had ZZ Top coming from the speakers, to help encourage my Karaoke abilities !!!!

Let's simply say; this has been one of the more interesting off seasons for a while !!!
Looking forward seeing you one place or another this summer......

Thanks Ron....in my books, she is 'better than new' ....not nearly as many electronical gadgetries,
no need to customize seat / hiway pegs / ape hangers / exhaust.
And she is "well broken in to my riding style"

Hey Terry! So happy you're back on the RG. I'm sure those 250 miles felt great, especially on a beautiful day, after being off the bike for a bit. I can't wait to see you and Laurel on it this season. Enjoy my friend!

Tony, my ride wasn't nearly as exciting as you riding a brand new 2018 off the lot.....
but damn, I honestly think my smile was from ear to ear just as yours was !!!
Looking forward to seeing you and Sherry on your new wing.

I have forgone the 'harley snarl' and am embracing the "ear to ear grin" !!!
The offer still stands if you would like Spank the Monkey and his sign for the lid on your tour pack !!!  Evil

Thanks Karen....I asked Sir Bernard Silva to send you a message on my behalf.....knowing we spoke while at Salvage BBQ in Portland.
All is well and we will continue on with the plans that were set in motion.
Hope to get a hug from you this summer.....
