Time enjoy wasted is not wasted time

I pulled my tank the other day due to a bad petcock fuel started leaking everywhere not a lot of time to study how things came apart.  At the end of the day I have the tank off the bike I carefully removed one vacuum line that appeared to only be connected to one cylinder this seems odd to me!  The second hose on the tank I assumed was a vent line and it appeared to route to the bottom of the bike like an overflow line what doesn't make sense to me it there is a tee adapter in this line and which I assume another hose must have been connected to but I don't see anything loose near where it should have been.  In my search I did find a hose which looks like a vacuum line tucked in near all the other vacuum lines but this one is not connected to anything.  I'm hoping someone has a diagram of what is supposed to go where so I can double check everything when I reinstall the tank next week.
Any head would be appreciated!

The vacuum line down to the number six cylinder is the vacuum line that
makes the petcock function.

The line from the end of the tank is a vent line and nothing connects to the
Tee.

The only other line to the tank is the much bigger gas line...

Hapcapsc's answer is awesome and I can't add anything except to relate why the "T" is there.

It's to prevent the gas tank from vacuum locking.

I found out the hard way, after my first rain storm, after removing the "T", thinking it was a mistake.

Second guessing the Honda engineers is not good. Roll Eyes

Oh yeah,  that hose also doubles as a gas drain, if you slightly overfill the tank.

It's important that it is not kinked when reinstalling the tank.

It was awesome. I can't add much either. Except that you wouldn't be the first or the last to remove that "T". Also in addition to the vent line being a drain line, it can be used as a redneck flamethrower if you fill your tank and then let your bike sit in the blazing desert sun in a McDonalds parking lot.  Smiley

I knew I joined this forum for a reason you guys are great.  I would be looking for days to find what house came off that tee.  I feel a lot better now.  It should be easy putting everything back together.   I just hope there isn't any further damage due to hydrolocking when it filling with gas.

The T is there so when the vacuum created when the tank level is decreasing doesnt suck up and water or debris from under the bike.  if anything gets caught up in the line plugging it then the T provides an alternate air path to the tank.
