Rich- redeye technical services, who offers a lot of the intake and fuel system parts and improvements for the Valkyrie, has mention on his page of an upcoming project to make them available in polyurethane, but needing some support finding someone with capacity to cast them (see mention on his Valkparts.com )
Polyurethane is what the other fellow (Shock Bushing Gary?) (now passed away) made his from, that I have had on two bikes for at least 5-6 years with great performance.
Some speculated that the dampers should really be of (Honda OE) softer rubber to cause less stress to the drive train, but I haven't had any indication of wear anywhere.
I have lost a Ujoint and a left rear wheel bearing, but both were before the dampers went in (no bad spline wear). I don't have any rear end slop either, and I think the poly is better. I had a Ford Taurus V6 that broke 3-4 motor mounts, until I went from OE rubber to poly motor mounts (and never broke another).
