Has anyone heard how Steve is recovering? Hope all is well Steve Nick I appreciate your concern. I've had 3 doctor appointments this week none of them related to my broken ankle or foot. Using crutches to get into these buildings is causing a lot of pain in back muscles. Next week I go back to my Orthopedic doctor, it will have been 10 weeks, I'm hoping for the best but think its going to take a little longer. Looking forward to getting back in the saddle, the Hardee Boys have been checking on me or stopping by, but like I told Eddie I'm under house arrest You guys enjoy your ride to inzane and wherever else you end up Jacks having a huge parts sale so he's good to go

Thanks for the get wells, they mean a lot . I was riding my 1998 ACE Tourer that day so my Valk was home safe from A--holes in cages. The cage came into my lane to turn into a plaza, my bike was near his rear tire. When I saw his front tire cross the white line I apparently hit the brakes to avoid getting hit. I was able to avoid him hitting me but don't remember leaving the bike but do remember tumbling on the asphalt, at one point I remember thinking that my arm had just broke, it didn't. My bike never went down it crossed 4 lanes of traffic on a busy road at 2:30pm went over a curb up an embankment missed a fire hydrant and ended up leaning against a light pole about 30 feet off the road a fire fighter and several other said they had never seen anything like it, I really wish I could have seen it. Lucky for me Eddie (AKA Steel Cowboy) was riding by recognized my bike, saw my wife a son and stopped to help. He got with the tow truck driver and got the bike to my house and put it in the garage, they wanted to take it to an impound lot so they could charge me a daily storage fee but then agreed to take it to my house a half a mile away but had to have $125 cash first Thanks again Eddie. Even though I got a broken ankle, broken bone in my foot, broken ribs, some back damage, and road rash at least I'm able to tell the story . Thanks again for your concerns Steve

Thanks Mike, Pappy, Keith, I had a doctors appointment today and was expecting to hear better news than I did . He said the ankle was healing fine but the foot has multiple fractures and cannot take the chance of having further damage so cast stays on for another month . I told them that my pain level was a 2 and wanted to ride my motorcycle, the X-ray showed different so I'm still under house arrest for awhile At least this jail is 76 degrees and the food is really good so I'm eating plenty of it Ride um safe Steve

That sucks, but time heals. Went through the same 4 years ago when I crashed the IS. I felt ready to go after the cast came of both wrists and the pins were removed. Doc said the left one had 7 fractures and if I fell down or banged it hard, we would have to start over. I know having an accident is serious stuff, but from the sound of it you should have stayed on the bike. Sounds like it had a mind of it's own.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Your right Bill the bike has very little damage, I guess I should have been wearing my seatbelt

Yes Steve, get better. It sounds like you are missed by all. That's nice to know people really care. I had an accident last November. I broke my left clavicle (which now has a titanium plate and screws in it), fluid buildup on my left hip (which required surgery), and my right thumbnail had to be removed because of debris under it. I wish I would have been more aware of the urgency of doing the finger exercises each day during recovery. I'm still working on that, so once I can make a first and get my hand strength back, I can ride again, too. I guess now is the time to clean and wax! lol
