What have others found as the best sources for OEM parts?  Looking for overall value including price, shipping costs, delivery speed, return/exchange policy, etc.

Partzilla https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle

Their shipping is cheaper than most, making up for a slightly higher cost for the parts.

I am in Canada and use partzilla as their international shipping is realistic.

I've used Honda Direct Line for years with great results.  I also used Competition Accessories and Revzilla recently and they were fine, too.  I assume Partzilla is their OEM equivalent website.

I've had friends use Bike Bandit and heard good things, and they also carry parts for a lot of European brands.

Keep in mind that retailers stock few OEM parts for bikes as old as our Valkyries.  They usually have to get the part from Honda before shipping it, which adds a few days.  In my experience it takes about a week to get an OEM part where a tire might show up in 2 or 3 days.

Here's something else to keep in mind.  Most retailers sell maintenance parts like filters, brake pads, and batteries on their 'main' website along with accessories.  But those parts are also available on the OEM parts pages and for some reason, the prices are usually different for the identical part.  When ordering maintenance parts I always look in both places, and often find it cheaper in the OEM pages.  I recently saved about $10 on a battery by ordering it from the OEM parts page.

Retail dealer. I make a relation with one parts person. Haggle over the price, showing what they cost online.

In my case with online, there is a CAD/USD conversion, shipping, mail house, all kinds of extra costs. Free shipping with larger orders, etc, etc,

The local dealer can usually get something in, in less than a week.

Then there is https://www.procaliber.com/ . For me, they are in WA, and shipping is less and faster.
