Thanks Leathel. Thanks Dan.
Thanks Joe - Yeah, she is a work in progress. Picked her up about a year ago. She was 21 years old and only had 8500 clicks on her - which is not a good thing - 400 miles a year. Got her so I could give her life. She wasn't in BAD shape - just had not had TLC. As I have been going through her, I can tell she was kept in the weather - not outside, but in a carport or shed or something. Looked like original fluids, etc. Also looks like when it was cleaned, they took steel wool or something to a lot of the chrome. You know, rusty spots and cracked rubber thingies. The exhaust had all the guts/can removed and a cherry bomb welded in that had rusted out in the inside.
Been working on her. Cosmetically, new seats and grips and a few chrome thingies. New petcock and air filter. Found a set of really good OEM pipes to go back on. LED lights front and rear. Took carb bank out 2 weeks ago - right at Inzane time. It was running rich plus I wanted to desmog. Checked all the carbs and changed some orings in pilots and springs. Got everything back together and synced and there is still something wrong. Running about 80% (sitting outside my office but doesn't run just right). I think I may have cocked an O ring in pilot screw perhaps. When I get some off time next week, going to pull carbs again. Have new jets and pilots you wont need the D tool for. New gaskets from Redeye for carb bowls and runner intakes. Hopefully, I can get her back to 100%.
Unfortunately, we had a guy quit, so worked called for Inzane. I was going to haul butt run and meet ya'll in North Carolina, but alas, the payer of my insurance called. So, this is how my bike looked during Inzane time.
(Yes, this was after an AFTERNOON of cleaning rust and gunk off motor).

But I was able to reduce her fighting weight a little bit. Used the Redeye kit to plug everything back up.

And while ya'll were looking at the Blueridge Mountains, I was looking at this...........

She is coming along - hopefully running 100% next week.....I hope.
