I dont know if this will go anywhere but got a Apple watch with the LTE function in it. I have been mostly enjoying it and wondered if anyone else has one.

I didn't know how this was going to work but I carry a phone on me on my side and although it clips on my belt I always worried about it falling off. I dont carry it in my pocket because I would be the first to take it out and leave it somewhere. So the Apple watch that I could wear seemed like it may be a good idea. Coupled along with during the week I am getting calls and sometimes my hands are messy and didn't want to answer and now I can just look on my watch who is calling and either answer or reject the call. Workouts and being outside all you have to have on you is your watch and it doesn't matter how much you sweat the rain or anything. This also is for going out I can have the watch on me and still able to make or receive calls without the added phone. I can leave the phone in the bags on the bike or even at home and no longer when I go out do I have a phone hanging from my waist or have to think about it falling off.

I hated answering calls when sweaty or dirty and having the sweat drip down the phone and possibly slipping out of my hands. Then cleaning the phone and putting it away only to answer another call what a pain.

Its been liberating and while the thing is not perfect it does do messages, calls, directions via Siri and some more things like a heart rate monitor and a few other bells and whistles. With the Apple Air pods I can listen to music, do calls, get guided directions and have Siri as a personal assistant. On weekends its nice to just go with the watch and not have the phone with me since going to church I am dressed and didnt want the added bulk of the phone, or even on rides.

Its been interesting, and although I am not a big fan of the whole Apple system I am a fan of their OS for phones and this makes things easier and more convenient so I was pleasantly surprised.

I dont know if anyone else is going to have one but was just wondering and thought I would throw this out there.

I've been wearing an Apple Watch for about a year and half and wouldn't want to be without it. I have heart issues and it keeps me well informed about heart functions.
I don't yet have the new one with LTE. I've thought about it but I never really am in a situation where my phone's not with me.
I do know several people, friends, family, and customers (since I'm in the Apple support biz) who are using the new one with the LTE function and wouldn't give it up now that they're used to having it.
I'd switch in a heartbeat (pun) if my situation were different. Heck, if I still rode the bike, I'd use the new one so the phone could be stashed away.

I think being able to use it as a phone is definitely one of those personal preference things since it's going to be tied to lifestyle.

A little side note... The first one I saw was in a restaurant. The daughter of a friend of mine worked there and was wearing it and I mentioned it. She shushed me and said not to say anything because they weren't allowed to have phones while working and the boss didn't know it was a phone. So, different situations for different people.

Bought it a few weeks ago and almost returned it since I was having a problem at first. I played with the settings updated it and one morning put it on and it worked great. I do WiFi calling since at work and home the cell signal is a bit weak and the watch seems to have a bit of difficulty in going between the different signals. If I keep it on cell service it seems more consistent, but all in all it works and works well.

I heard that the new model may come out with a blood pressure monitor on it as well and will have a bigger display, faster chip and better cell antenna also. May trade this in when that comes out well see if the improvements will be worth it. Thanks for responding and I have played with the heart rate monitor and during the day its a hoot to see your heart rate at different times, its a bit surprising.

More than likely I'll sell mine and buy the gen 4 when it's released.
The rumors and speculation are interesting.
I would buy the one with LTE capability even if I don't plan to activate it right then.

You may have already seen the rumor articles but, just in case you haven't...
