I recently purchased a 2000 Honda Valkyrie Interstate and have started the long road of making the bike my own.  I've put a number of LED lights in it with no problem but recently I installed an automatic turn signal canceling device (Smart Turn System) which involved splicing into and cutting some of the wires and now that the install is done my stock radio and radio control module doesn't work.  If the ignition is turned on the radio displays the time and fuel gage, i also can't change the time using the control module on the handle bars.  Everything else on the bike other than the radio and control module works well which includes the Smart Turn System (will leave a review after I figure this out and spend more time on the road testing it).  Any ideas on how to remediate the problem would be appreciated, I've included my ideas
 and pictures for convenience below.

The only thing I can think of that might have affected this is the lines the system is drawing power from.  Under the left fender I'm using the wires from the green cable harness as follows.  Dark blue with solid white stripe for positive, light green with dotted maroon for negative.

I did cut into an orange wire in two spots on the center body during installation but shouldered it back together (was connected using butts, don't think that's stock) so this shouldn't in my mind make a difference.

Problem solved.  I guess the harness was loose and I didn't know about the power function button on the side of the control module.  Will look up how to delete posts once I'm back from a ride as this thread doesn't contain helpful info.

Yes it does. There is a problem and a solution in the same thread. Doesn't matter who finds it and maybe some one is looking to power up something.

Thanks for reporting the solution    cooldude cooldude

I would like to know what this blinker cancelling device is as I have a bad habit of forgetting to turn my blinkers off. If you could provide some information on it I would appreciate it.

I created another post for anyone else wondering about the mod I installed.  It can be found at the link below:
