Anyone who has tried this?  http://www.gpsgadgetstore.com/products/gps/trackstick/mini/index.html

Would have been "nice to have" on my Europe ride this summer. I have spent hours with Google Earth and Google Maps trying to find where I`ve been.

I have the same thing made by another manufacturer and mine works excellent. Very accurate and runs 2 weeks on 4 AA batteries.
Mine is here

There is no need to spend anything like that much on one of these. Just do a search on eBay for 'GPS logger' on the UK site these are around £40 ($65) and if you want a really flash one with a display there is this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Holux-GPS-Receiver-Sport-GPSsport-245-Datalogger-Bike_W0QQitemZ270399144291QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems?hash=item3ef50b8163

Wow!  Who cares about big brother watching, just slip this puppy into the wife’s purse and find out where’s she’s been going at night!!  Sure, she says she’s going to a Girl Scout meeting, but little does she know you’re tracking her every move!!!

Dag, looking at the Garmin site it says that your GPS is not 'geocaching friendly' https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=414#specsTab/ and so that is why you are having the problem  Sad but one of the GPS loggers will certainly do what you want. I use one when I am out taking photos, I just turn it on and leave it in the saddlebag and just turn it off when I get back. It works really well. Don't forget some mobile phones like the iPhone have GPS built in and there are GPS logging programmes available for them so that may be a cheaper option.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
