We are aware of the goings on in gothenburg at the same time we were riding bicycles to a beautiful lake in Motala, the sharp contrast is sad.  Nonetheless here are some pictures of us with our friends.

Their house and land was the town baker’s home and business, it has many buildings all from the mid 1800s including the cottage we are staying in, there is also another small barn that is called the cooler house where part underground was always cool and Suitable for food storage.  The upper part is a place where we can choose to have dinner and is quite unique, as seen in the pictures.

Story Time here Roll Eyes The Valkyrie jacket.  Well, we definitely have a story here.  The Swedish Valkyrie chapter is very low, our understanding is, The Valk was sold in Norway, Germany, Poland and other places here but not Sweden.  Staffan our Drifter friend is now intrigued with Valks, maybe I rub off a little. Ok, a lot.  He was looking at the Swedish Blocket page and found a Jacket for sale, the guy wanted 900 crowns at first and then 600 then he finally said free to someone who really wanted it, just pay for the ad and shipping.  Staffan called the seller and explained the Jerry Sherry visit story and that I always wanted the Swedish patch and he drove an hour out of his way to come and deliver the jacket personally and meet us Valkyrie nerds. He has long given up his pride bronze Valk and wanted the jacket to go to someone that would really appreciate it. While enjoying Fika (coffee and Pastries) in the back yard Staffan was discussing with Nills the price Jerry is to pay in Swedish, and he said before I say a price, he said Jerry, look in the inner pocket, when I did I found another smaller Valk Sweden patch. So we negotiated up for the extra drive and patch with us trying to pay more.  All told we had a great time and paid 500 crowns, $50 and received a nice leather jacket as well.

Great story and awesome pictures to go with it.

My favorite pictures are the loft surrounded by wooden furniture and the sunset.

The picture is the Gota canal and it is one city block walk from the house of our hosts and our cottage in Motala.  There is a fantastic restaurant there that we enjoy Fika at and see the boats as they enter the locks . Also we have a few pics of very old boat motors I will post soon from the Motala museum as I thought of you and Grumpy when there.

We somehow managed to get our hands on a second drifter from a local friend and Staffan, Sherry and I will be riding (drifting) the next two days, so more selfie stick pics are needed, the country roads start 5-10 minutes from here and are dream roads for bikes and traffic? Nope! Quiet wooded roads.

Amazing!
Loved the visits I made to that country. Keep up the photos as we are all drooling over them!
