For more than 3 weeks ( and one 7 hour trip to the ER ), I had been fighting with pleurisy, a known side effect of the cancer fighting medications I am on.
Just like a light switch was flipped off, Tuesday morning I was experiencing no pain or discomfort what so ever....Feeling like I was back to my fighting weight, I was anxious to get back to working around the yard.
First project was to move 3 wheelbarrows of bbq wood from the makeshift wood rack and build a new one with pressure treated 2x4's. Wood moved, new rack built and put in place, it was time to fill it.
I brought 3 wheelbarrows of round wood up from the pile just off the back lawn and began swinging my splitting maul....( DAMN, didn't that feel good !!! )  I stacked the freshly split wood on bottom then continued filling the rack with the wood first moved.
Once this project was completed, I built a fire in the pit so Laurel and I could relax watching the flames flicker and enjoying a few ice cold beers.
Next thing I know my phone rings....Dwight texted wondering if I'd like to go for a ride tomorrow (yesterday).....Seeing as I hadn't been on the bike in over 4 weeks, I was anxious to get back on and ride.
We met in Bangor for a cup of coffee and half hour conversation getting caught up with each others summer....Off we go for a back roads ride in state and down state, ending up at Beale Street BBQ in Bath....After some mighty fine smoked ribs, brisket, and shrimp & sausage jambalaya we ventured our way to Rt 1 and headed towards home.
All in all I had a very enjoyable and relaxing 270 mile ride and filled my pie hole with some damn good grub.

I have another infusion session this morning, so in 3 days I will know what, if any side effects will take effect.  There are only 2 other serious side effects known for this medication....kidney failure and heart attack. So we shall see.........
