Just got back from a 7,500 mile trip on the Valk to Glacier NP and a week of riding around Oregon.  Bike was great.  Installed a set of ME888 Marathon Ultras just before I left.  They were great; 4mm out of 8mm of thread are left in the back and 3mm out of 4 in front.  Bike has 42,000 miles on it now.  500 mile days are a piece of cake on this bike.

Nice - Post up some Glacier Park pics.   i fly to Boise, ID next Wed.   Pick up the Valk and roll around for a week, flying/shipping back from Spokane.   180-250 a day is all i can do in the mountains.   Need a break from the Tampa heat, and the roads around here suck.

I had a set of Metzeler road tec tires installed on my bike for MY bike for my trip to Glacier NP they were great. my trip was from Ill to Montana to Denver, and back home. 4187 miles in 15 days, was a great trip. NO rain and great roads, road hwy 2 across the top of Montana to stay off the interstates as much as possible. still have trouble posting pictures on this site, will get some help from my Daughter, she is more savy about things like that.

Pictures do not do it justice.  Just go.  The most majestic place I have ever been.  Cant wait to do some hiking there.  While you are up that way hit Beartooth Pass and if you get into Oregon do Crater Lake National Park.

I agree.  I had a set of  Metezlers on my Suzuki M109. They were good, but since putting a set of Michelins on my Valk., I feel so much more confident when cornering.  Like night and day compared to OEM tires.

early last spring i needed to get a set of tires for MY trip to Glacier park and after talking to other people i opted for a set of Metzler and they were great. 4000+ miles there and back and hardly and wear at all. I did not have any hard rain, so the only thing I noticed that on some hwy groved surfaces at 75/80+ MPH they would make a slight howling noise. they seem that they will wear and last much longer than the OEM tires. Looking forward to my trip this year maybe all the way east to Main for some lobster. looking forward to the coming years riding.
