don't have a external flag pole. But do have one that sits in our window visible from the street. Have three neighbors that have 15-20 foot flag poles flying Old Glory 24/7. Good neighborhood.

I am out in the country, mine flies 24/7 out front the house 20 yrds. mounted on a corner post 15ft high and has a light on it all night from the yard light on a power pole. I live 500 ft. off the road and the drive way is clear shot to the flag and looks real good at night.

I fly the Flag from the street light in front of my apt. Right now it's the Star spangled Banner flag.. Ft. McHenry and Francis Scott Key. Fifteen stars , eight red stripes and seven white. https://ibb.co/k71zDU

Interesting, thx. I'm sure I'd read that there's actually no requirement to have a flag lit at night, but your link says otherwise unless I missed something.

This thread made me curious, so I took a ride around my rather large neighborhood (Good excuse to putter around on the Helix... That thing is more fun than it should be!) looking for flags...
First, I briefly flew a flag in the days after 9/11, but have since not done so. My current house isn't really ideal for it (I've got a weird thing where the street is several feet above my front yard, you go down stairs to get to my house from the street, it's kinda weird and would make a flag pole very awkward)
Around my neighborhood I observed, in my very unscientific observation:
0 normal American Flags 4 Texas Flags 2 Gonzales Flags (I.E. Come and Take It) 2 of the "Thin Blue Line" American flags
One of the Gonzales was under a Texas flag, the other was flying solo. The other flags were solo.
