The newest (several years old now) Michelin Commander II's do not come in correct Valk sizes.

I tried a Commander II 140 (not 150) front, and it was a very good tire, but I barely got to 7K on it.

FWIW Swabby, the Commander II rear tire that is closest to Valk OE size is a closer match than the 140 front I used.  It's sized 180/65/16, but not OE 180/70/16.  Like only a quarter inch shorter tire, but the same 180 width.

I run car tires, so I'd never use them.

Swabby,

I've run four rear MC II tires, and the least mileage I got was 30,000... yes, thirty thousand miles! I'm on my fifth one now, and it already has 30K and is still going. Good luck.

Rob,

No, the size is a bit far off for me to get excited about. I do have good success with Bridgestone Excedras on the front, though, with mileage varying but usually north of 20K. Since I tend to do lots of miles per year, length of service is essential with me...

That is the best combination I've been able to come up with so far. I do air 'em both up to 45 PSI, then add air when they dip below 40 PSI. Allowing them to run at pressures below 40 PSI seems to hasten wear...

I might also add that I am a very 'mellow' rider! Most of my friends ride more aggressively than I, because it's not about the thrill of speed, acceleration, and peg scrapping to me... I can and have done all of that, but nowadays, I prefer to take my time, amble here and there... take it easy and enjoy the scenery, my thoughts, and my good fortune in life... I am truly proud to be here!

30K miles on a motorcycle tire is really impressive.  I usually only get 30K on a car tire.  Front, used Avons and the Bridgestone before.  Never got more than 13k on any of 'em, only about 10K on the Bridgestone.  Now running a Shenko 230 Tour Master on front (put it on just before heading to Roanoke) and it holds the road well wet or dry, no idea how many miles it will get but looks barely broke in at 5K.
