I did not have the air cleaner off and this bike was running perfectly fine a few weeks ago, so I doubt that my jets clogged and carbs got out of sync sitting for 14ish days.

If you had the airbox off, it's really easy to accidentally leave one or more tubes that connect the airbox to the carbs partially disconnected, that would be a massive vacuum leak.  Best to use a mirror to see the back sides.

There's virtually no vacuum in the tubes above the carbs at idle/low speed. No change would be detected at idle/low speed even if the tube(s) was completely missing. cooldude

Well I can tell you ( by experience) a new to me Valkyrie ran like crap because the Honda dealer had three of them tubes mostly disconnected after a carb rebuild.  They looked connected at the front but no where near on at the back side.

Final resolution, because it is annoying when people ask for help and then disappear.

Multiple people more experinced than me said I was having carb issues and it didn't matter that the bike was running fine now three weeks ago.  I did not want to rebuild the carbs, so I pulled the covers and douched the inside and all visible passage-ways with Berryman's carb cleaner, I then drained the bowls and filled them up with Yamalube Carb dip, and let this cocktail sit overnight.  The following morning I drained the bowls, reinstalled my tank, sprayed some starting fluid up under the tank and she fired up, then stalled.  No biggie, I did this routine three times and once the bowls were all full of fuel again she idles fine, accelerates, and revs with no issues.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions and a big thanks to Disco for the Yamalube soak suggestion. cooldude
