I just got word that one of our own, Rams, went down hard somewhere in Missouri.  At least he is able to talk about it.  I wish him a complete and speedy recovery.

I know Ron had been to Kansas to tend to his mother who was having a medical procedure. This is the first I’ve heard of the mishap!

I messaged him to see if I could be of assistance but who knows if he still has his phone if he went down.

I think he is in Columbia, MO, but I am not certain.  Four broken ribs, broken wrist, broken collar bone, broken scapula, torn ligaments, punctured lung, and lots of road rash.  That is all I know right now.  I will share more details as I get them.  Wife and son are at his side.

All I know is that he was on his way home from Kansas being with his mother while she was having a medical procedure.  From the way and timing that I heard about it, I believe it happened earlier today.  But again, that is nothing more than a wag.  I will post more as I find out.

I just spoke with Ron.
Make that 5 broken ribs........ribs broken front and back.  He seems to be in good spirits considering.  The accident happened Wednesday.  According to him, he was in a construction zone when a black SUV squeezed him into the traffic cones.  Next thing he remembers is waking up in the ambulance.  They came in to change the bandage on his arm so he had to hang up but at least I got that much from him before that.  It was good to hear from him.

His son took his bike back home to Kentucky yesterday.

Never met you in person, Rams/Ron, but have become fond of you on this forum.  This brought tears to my eyes and an immediate need to pray for you.  Done.  Please know that there are many people here in this tribe that are also sending sincere, heartfelt prayers for your well-being.  That should be enough to heal at least two of the ribs!  All the best. -KUGO

Very sorry to hear this times like this always make me wonder why we ride!
Then I think back to the fact that my grandfather died walking across the street he was hit by an RV and killed on impact.  I live for today and try to enjoy myself while still trying to limit risk taking without forgoing the joys of life!

Prays to you and the family hope you recover quickly and fully!

I wonder if the driver of the black suv saw the result of their carelessness and stopped, or if it was an oblivious distracted driver who didn't even notice?
