Lights Out

Last September I replaced the 55 Watt H3 Halogen Bulbs in my two Spotlights with 50 Watt, High Performance, H3 LED 360 Bulbs. The bulbs were purchased from Pathfinder. They really looked good.  However, last Saturday another rider pointed out that both Spotlights were not on.
My question is why would they go out after only one year.

If they are both out it’s a fair bet you have lost power to them. Remove the bulb and check for voltage. How are they turned on. Check both sides of the switch with it on if you have one. Then check the relay, again if you have one and you really should if you haven’t. Is there a fuse check that. Hope that helps.
If you have power at the bulbs check the earth. Check continuity of the bulbs. That should be enough to go on. Let us know how you get on

It’s likely the fuse. There is also a relay, but those are pretty robust. My fuse was wrapped up tightly with tape. It took me forever to find it.

What kind of light bar do you have on the bike?

In 2006 I purchased a Sophie’s Motorcycle Works Light Bar with two Drag Specialty, 55 Watt Halogen Spotlights with Visors. I know that is a name that goes back a few years. However, I never had a problem until one bulb blew last year. That’s when I went with the LED Bulbs.

Both of you are correct! It was the fuse. However, I can not find a reason for it to blow, everything seems to be correct. If it blows again I will take it to an electrical guru.
