Hi all, new to the forum and a new valkeryie(99 interstate) owner.  I have a tech. Question im hoping for answers to.

I currently using a kliktronics electric shifter on my current motorcycle(HD)  https://www.kliktronic.co.uk
After talkin with the company, they say they cant help me because even though the valkerie has the same engine as the goldwing(which they do have a working shifter mount for) the placement of the foot pegs on the valkyrie makes that unworkable.

There is another company that sells electric shifters, which responed with this:

"Thanks for your interest in Pingel Enterprise.  I have seen people install electric shifter kits on the Valkrie 1500.  The shifter kit for the Goldwing won’t work because of differences in the frame, shifter, and footpegs on the bikes.  The shifter kits used previously have been the universal models.  Fabrication would be required for fitment of the universal mounting bracket, but the electrical components would work very well.  The modifications needed on the mount will take an experienced person for installation.

I have provided a link below to the shifter kit listed on our website.  Downloadable instructions are available on this page also.

http://www.pingelonline.com/electric-shifter-kits/77401-universal-electric-speed-shifter-kit-7-8-handlebars-one-to-four-coil.asp   "

So im looking for anyone who is using or has used an electric shifter on their valkyrie and/or an experienced fabricator that has or knows how to make this work. I will be around the southwest states the next 3-4 months(Co., Nm., Az. and nevada)
Any help is greatly appreciated because as it is now, i have a nice valkyrie that i cant ride.

thanks for any help

I have a son who doesn't have a left foot other than a prosthetic, and he rides and shifts my Valk without an electric shifter. If you're interested, we can discuss the details.

Yeah I'm curious, so please pardon my asking, is there some physical limitation that requires you to pursue this because at least in my experience manually shifting is part of the fun of riding.

prosthetic left leg so permanent 90 degree angle and no foot lift or drop, makes shifting difficult. I have a 99 police HDflh ive put 40000 miles on past 3yrs ridin around the country with the kliktronics shifter that overall has worked well

ill pm you for what hes doing because even with out my leg in the prosthesis, i dont have room/angle to get the toe of that prosthesis under the shifter

again if there is any fabricators out there that think they can help in the south west, im traveling nm., az., nevada
