I rewired the trailer I bought to pull behind my I/S today and got it hooked up and took a ride with it this afternoon.  Still have a little vibration around 65 mph, but not really worried about it as I still have to get a new back tire on my I/S and 2 new tires on the trailer.  I noticed that the hitch end of the tongue is higher than the trailer end of the tongue by about 2 inches.  That's 2 inches in about 36" length of tongue.  I had probably 30 or 40 lbs. in the trailer on the tongue side.  Should the tongue be going down to the hitch instead of up?  Will that cause any vibration or bad ride characteristics?

Take good care of that bike of mine and I'd appreciate a picture of my trailer.

I think some say it will make you sway a little. Someone else will know alot more then me. I only trailered 5000 miles last year. None this year. I doubt I will next year except for local stuff.

You don't want the tongue higher at the hitch end. With the trailer loaded and riding at speed, any hard braking will cause a forward enertia forcing the tongue to "push up", taking weight off the back wheel. This could cause the rear wheel to skid, especially on wet roads.

I would look for a way to make the tongue even, or better yet, running slightly downward to the hitch.

I have pulled about 7000 miles with a Harbor Freight trailer... so far, so good. YMMV

This can be accomplished by getting a new reciever that has a longer drop. I believe mine is 3".
