My company does not allow vacation day roll over to the next year. I figured we don't get many 60 degree blue sky days in November, so I took today off to go for a ride with Sherry. Left at 10:30 and got home at 2:30. Total was 93 miles. Took route 121 through Wrentham, MA into Cumberland, RI. Had never ridden it before. Very pretty and still good color on some trees.

We got off 121 to ride into Woonsocket and pick up 126 north into Blackstone, MA where we had lunch at the Beef Barn.

Cheap eats but good. We got roast beef sandwiches on toasted soft rolls and home made potato chips. Portions are not huge so we had room for desert. Boston cream pie for me and grape nut pudding for Sherry.

From there we meandered around back roads for another hour plus and enjoyed the day. Depending on family commitments and weather, this may have been the last ride of the season. Hopefully not.

I hit the Beef Barn occasionally, since it's just a few minutes from me. It's actually in Bellingham; not Blackstone (there's another in N. Smithfield, RI). Portions aren't huge, but that's OK. What's "normal" can be too much sometimes. Always good, though, and the prices are very good.

I got out this morning for awhile (valk and scrambler). Had to get home before noon. Early release day at my son's school today and tomorrow, and he's too young to be home alone (young enough that they won't let him off the bus if one of us isn't outside). Beautiful day all around. I did get some yard cleanup done, too. The projects never end, even on nice days.

Thanks for the clarification. I see you're in Mendon. My wife and I go to George's Seafood during the summer. I usually post about going. Maybe we'll meet next summer.

Cool. We hit there occasionally as well. If I went there as much as a would like to, I'd be broke... and about 450 pounds or so.
