Plenty of handlebar clocks on ebay.
I have had good luck with one of these. Takes a while to get it but too cold to ride anyway.

I have one like that, with its matching thermometer, also on eBay. It keeps time well, and the battery is easy to replace. Or, you could get one of the $50-$60 ones from JPCycles https://www.jpcycles.com/motorcycle-handlebar-mounted-accessories.

Or you could wear a watch.

My IS has a clock.  I've never set it.

I bought a $20 Walmart waterproof sport watch (analog) and used the handlebar clamp for a wrist. Fool proof.

For under $10 most Autozone, Ace had these I mounted under the Clarion with a spot of Velcro.
Shielded from rain and sun.
My jacket sleeves cover the wrist watch this I can glance at anytime.

I have clocks by Marlin ($89 free shipping) ..... the two styles on the top row below. There's a push button night light, stays on for a few seconds. Thinking of getting a large dial.

Wondering if you got the matching thermometer from the same vendor? Looking at the site I can't find one. I did find a set with black faces on a different sellers site but prefer the one you bought.

My current bike came with a Formotion clock.

Previously I used your method.

As  noted above, I actually got mine on eBay, like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/7-8-NEW-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Mount-Waterproof-Dial-Clock-Thermometer-Temp-US-/283092715339

I have had a Formotion Clock, and Thermometer on my bike since the beginning. They have held up great. The clock arms, and thermometer needle sit in a oil so they don't vibrate or wiggle while riding.

I had an issue with the Thermometer, and Formotion replaced it. I can attest to their customer service being top notch.
