My interstate came with a small black box under side cover (or seat) that makes my rear turns into run-turn-brake lights (about the size of a deck of cards).  I cannot remember the name, but it is a company that does them.  I think several companies make them (Kuryakyn?).  And this is with the OE 1156 single filament bulbs.

You have to get red lenses for the signals to be full-time runs.  Or paint the ambers with Testors red paint.

I also have a single row of LEDs on a plate frame that are run/brake lights. The single row is low, so it doesn't interfere with the plate light.

This interstate has no trunk, so I have the std/tourer tail light with the knockout on the fender removed.

I like having 4 running lights and brake lights.

Electrical Connections sells an LED kit that installs in the rear turn signals. I've installed 2 sets for friends and they work very well.

I'm pretty sure it uses the filament of the turn signals for 'ground', so if you have replaced yours with LEDs, it likely will not work.

Not this kit. It's independent of the turn bulb.

The one I linked does connect to the turn bulb, per the documentation on the site: https://electricalconnection.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/tsk.pdf

I got something like this for the back of my bike and painted the lens with clear red model paint. Because they are front flashers they have both flasher and park.

It occurs to me that, with a simple change, it could be made to not need the filament as a ground. All they need add is a ground connection, and a depletion mode MOSFET transistor that is fully off when the gate approaches 12V.
