The Kury ISO grips specific for Valkyrie (6190) are 6 1/4" long, rather than the standard 5 3/4" long (like the OE grips).
The spacers are to be added into the the grips before install so the ends are not unsupported and empty/overly flexible. (the handlebar controls/MC's/mirrors above the grips cannot be slid further up)
It's been over 10 years since I messed with mine, so I can't remember if the throttle side spacer screws into the end of the throttle sleeve, or it just drops into the grip.
There should be some instructions in the package.
It's also been years since I telephoned Kuryakyn tech support for anything, but they were pretty good when I did.
If you didn't get the throttle side throttle boss, which goes under the end cap with 4 little screws, you should get and add one, it's a nice addition with decent function. Because the grips are extra long, the boss on the throttle does not interfere with your hand riding normally, but if you want to give the hand a bit of a rest, you can slide it down and rest your palm on the boss. The grips can be installed, and the boss later, if you want to.
Also, when installing the grips, you want the rubbers to match up in position on both sides, and optimal position is for a row of rubbers under your palm at about 10 o'clock, (and the other row under your finger tips about 4 o'clock).
Optimal position on the throttle boss, if you get one, is also about 10 o'clock, so it is naturally under your palm at about 50-60mph at a quarter to third turn of the throttle.
