Well someone (me) inadvertently mixed a little 2 cycle oil in the tank of fresh gas believing he (I) was adding fuel stabilizer.  Can't imagine anyone doing something to stupid.  Not more than about 4 oz in a full tank.  Should I tell my friend (me) not to worry about it? 

I've run mixed gas in my four stroke lawnmower when I had run out of regular gas with no ill effects.

My 84 Nissan four cylinder pickup truck ran awful when I
put some two stroke gas in it... it was probably stale, too...
It didn't hurt anything... I don't see how it could hurt a Valkyrie...

I ran golden spectro at 50:1, so there wasn't much oil added...

It should not hurt the bike at all.

It actually will stabilize a little bit.

But, it will make ordinary fuel mileage go down a little bit. (two stroke mix makes it burn a little faster)

I've run it in my mower too.

Using the formula of dividing the oz of oil into 128 I get a ratio of 177 to 1.  Shouldn't be a problem.

I found a recommendation for older carbureted bikes of 1 ounce of Pennzoil TC-W3 marine 2-stroke oil per gallon. The claim is that today's gas is refined to have so little light oils, and with the addition of ethanol, that it is too 'dry', whatever that means. Adding a small amount of oil keeps the carbs clean, and works as a top oil for the intake valves, they say. I tried it in my old CB450, and we'll see how it works out the next time I drain the carbs.

been doing that, TC-W3 for the past 8 months. runs better and slight increase in mpg 1-2. the ratio is key to see great results.

much info here and how it was tested to work.  I also use it in my diesel, where it also works very well.

I always put a dab of Lucas "injector cleaner" in my gas, even though it is carburated.......it is as thick as the modern two stroke oil! May be even the same thing?

But any extra lube for the valve seats, cannot hurt any!           coolsmiley

Just be sure to "blow the carbon" out of it once in while......IF....you know what I mean!!!!

Like CA, I'm doing the same thing.  A bit less than half of what you ended up adding, but I don't think you'll see any significant ill effects.
