Went to the doctor today. They removed the staples and took x rays. All looks good and the doctor is very happy with me. Just getting the staples out made a big difference on how I feel. I will see him again in 6 weeks. He showed me the X rays and I could see all the new hardware. He said I gained a little height as well. Like I need it LOL. I also get to take a shower for the first time in 2 weeks. I can now drive as long as I'm comfortable and he said I could ride the bike when ever I feel I'm up to it.. I will wait until the 6 week appointment before I do that though.

I always did look up to you Dave, now I'll have to look a little higher. Glad that all is going well.

Nice. As a former back patient (T11 and T12), enjoy, but don't over do anything. Don't want to go backwards at this point. Physical therapy is worth it, if your doctor recommends it. PT definitely helped me regain strength and flexibility.

It was hard to tell with just the Xrays but it looks similar. Tom I will be thinking of you on Friday and wishing you a great recovery. Please keep us posted on how everything goes.

Sorry Rich, but I won't be able to make Beatty. You guys have fun and be safe. I can't believe it's been a year since I hurt my back at Death Valley. It sucks that you have to go thru all the hoops before you can get the surgery you need.
