The Landmass Between Mobile And New Orleans

« on: November 20, 2009, 08:38:05 PM »

I know I'm supposed to put this in the Classifieds (it is) but I thought I'd post her for those who don't check them.  I was leaving school Wednesday evening an noticed my saddlebags moving around a lot.  When I checked them out, I discovered the crossover bar, that connect the two sides behind the rear tire, was missing.  If anyone has one there willing to part with, please let me know.  You can either pm here or send me an email at ppcshooter1(no spam)@msn.com.  Remember to remove the obvious.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I have one but I like to hang onto it so if I got rid of the bike I could put it back on. Sorry!  Embarrassed I had remove mine to put my hitch on. What I did was soldered up some 3/4" copper and made it slip over the existing mounts. Kinda looked like [ when done. I put a screw on each side threw the existing screw hole so it won't fall off, like it had done before! This could be a temp fix till you find one. Heck, you wouldn't even have to solder it.

An extra one of those would likely only be available from a wrecked Valk and likely to be sold complete to maintain an existing bracket system. [Pinwall @ ebay]
Fudgies idea is a good one too.

If none become available within reasonable time for you HDL can get 'em for $36.00  item #23 PIPE, RR. JOINT

When you include the everything, clamps and bolts, it's closer to $100 plus shipping.

Ouch, I was hoping you had the clamps/bolts.
Your going to have an even harder time finding the rear bar with clamps/bolts. Keep an eye on Pinwall via their web site or ebay, that's probably one of your best shots.

Really, the bolts are a no brainer.  I'm not paying Honda $10 for bolts when I can pick them up somewhere else cheaper but that's still roughly $86 plus shipping.  I'm hoping someone who triked their Valk maybe has one their willing to part with reasonably.

Well, only for those fortunate to have one like you do.
