Went around the block today.   Woke up this morning to a forcast of 75 degree high today with 7% rain after 11 am.    Left Tomball 10:30 am and went around the block.   Tomball to Bellville to Round Top to Burton to Independence to Navasota to Tomball.   160 miles.    Awesome riding weather for Tomball area in February.   Did a side trip over the Lake Sommerville dam.   The lake is flooded with picnic tables under water all over.    The dam is letting water out full blast.....man it is gushing out of there.   Sometimes it makes good fishing below the dam so I am lining out some friends
To go fishing daylite Thursday morning.......will give fishing report later.

Got to the Sommerville dam in my truck to go fishing Thursday with my brother and as we pulled into the parking area the clouds busted open and it came a flood.    Sat in the truck for 30 minutes to wait it out and it just wouldn't quit so we left.....another day.

also my brother and I went from Sommerville dam to College Station and we noticed that the farmers have usually already tilled the ground a couple of times by now in prep for their corn and cotton crops.    Nothing has been done.....its just too wet.   Water standing in all the fields with no place to go.  Its been raining since September.   This could affect our food crops.

I am a little farther north. Around the West, Texas area. Lots of farm land. Has dried out enough to plow. Didn't get above 36 degree today. With a little sleet last night. BRR.

Yeah. The 1st day of January or 2nd  we got more rain than average of whole month of January.  Texas weather.  Drought or flood.
