With the sun shining and a freshly fallen snow, what better day to get out and enjoy life !!
Temps were in the high 20's and supposed to rise to the mid to upper 30's.
We loaded the snowshoes, poles, and gear into the truck and off we went.
It took us 1 hour to find our way to the oceans edge, then another 3 hours to get up here....
There were places that required crawling on your hands and knees.....
The hike down the other side was only 1 hour, with plenty of planned and unexpected sliding on our
asses down the ice flows....

Here is the view from near the top of Acadia Mountain....

It is good to see pictures from your hikes. Such beautiful view and a great way to spend a day.

We're trying to stay active Ron....Mother Nature hasn't been much of a help so far !!!!
Not sure if we will have another chance this winter, need to take advantage when we can.
1 hour after my chemo yesterday we were pounding our way through a foot of crusty snow....
That mountain beat us up, but we did conquer it from bottom to top and top to bottom....
We celebrated with a couple beers, a bottle of wine, and a grilled salmon dinner at home....
