I talked to the guy on the phone, trying to get a little more info on it. Claims he's selling it for a friend and "it is what it is" which I understand. Sounded like an older guy that wasn't really into the job of selling it 'cuz when I asked a couple questions about it I didn't get any real answers. Then when I started to say before I'd lay out $2k without seeing it he simply said "have a nice day" and hung up on me, never letting me finish what I wanted to say. I wanted to say I need to take a look at it so I'd know if there was enough there to get my investment back. I never made a low-ball offer, never my intention to do so. If there was enough meat on the bone I would have taken it but now after being a bit of a jerk I'll not bother with him. At my age, I have better things(and people) to spend my time on. It does look repairable but not sure you'd get anything other than a bill of sale. I noticed it does have the Cobra side covers for the radiator and the way those things are selling, you could get darn near half your money back on just that alone.  Grin  I have his name & phone # but probably best to use the CL link first if you're interested. Considering what little info I got, $2k is overpriced but one can't know until you actually look it over.

I think it is priced too high considering today's prices on running Valks with title.

If you want a project I would say wait for something that is less risky

I think $500 would be more realistic price, missing fenders, foot pegs, seats, mirrors etc. And probably no title. I have a titled frame to build one from, but not enough parts there to do it.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Jack, I agree...it's too high but was willing to take a ride up and check it out before making that decision. He just didn't give me a chance to finish what I was saying, besides....I wanted those radiator side covers.  Grin

Was going to say $500 as well before I read Grumpy's post.
Jack is also correct. There are good, complete, running bikes (with title) for not a bunch more than what is left of this bike.

Yeah, saw that a couple days ago. I'd give him $6-700 max but I'm sure he'll find someone that will pay his price. When I talked to him when first listed, he told me the owner said to just get rid of it so the owner might be the one pushing this price.  crazy2
