The Old Girl turns 20 this year. Remember 20?? Back when you had more hair on your head than your back ... people called you "kid"... you could go all night without peeing ... ahhh the gool ol days!

Anyway, being sentimental I thought I's surprise her with a carb overhaul. Those floats & needles have been in there for 2 decades & could probably use a freshen up. There is quite a price difference between  the generic parts from Amazon & the mother's milk from Honda.

Anybody got any experience, good or bad, either way with this?

Not sure what all they have for Valkyries, if anything. I have ordered jets for other bikes without any problems. I know when I rebuild mine I will be checking them first. Hope this helps.

JetsRus for sure. They have float valves and jets. For the rest of it, go to https://redeye.ecrater.com Rick has all the gaskets and O rings you’ll need, as well as air cutoff valve testers and replacement hoses.

Redeye's parts are top notch and shipped quickly. Definitely recommended.

I got the float needles off ebay, they're K&L Supply brand (Japanese). The K&L part # is 18-8955, which is a pack of six.

I didn't replace any of the actual jets. The bike was running fine before, just had a fuel incontinence issue from a sticking float needle that prompted me to tear into it.  Cleaned and reused.

I'd replace the fuel rail o-rings while you're in there. Originals at 20 years old are getting to be on borrowed time. Redeye sells a kit for this as well.

When you're all finished replacing the parts, I'll certainly take those old and worn-out parts off your hands, minus the o-rings, seals, and gaskets.

Canadian-F6C... just a FYI, the Redeye website won't process orders to Canada, but if you call he will take payment over the phone and mail them out. Just received  my intake o-rings from him in this manner a couple weeks ago. The set of 6 cost me the same as just one O-ring ordered through my local Honda dealer.
