Two numbered tires size drive me nuts (short trip I understand). :)

I'm looking at smaller wheels and tires, wanting to find an alloy wheel of either 10" or 12" so as to use tubeless tires. When I see something that interests me on Ebay it shows a tire size of only two numbers such as 3.50-10 or 4.00-12. How can I find out the three number equivalent such as 180/60-16? Is there a cross reference chart somewhere I haven't found yet, been poking around on the 'puter and so far no joy. I know the -10 or -12 ID's the rim size, but what about the preceeding numbers?

Want to build a one-wheel pull behind trailer using either a 10" or 12" inch wheel. I just need to know what does the 3.50-10 size convert to in real numbers. I appreciate your links but they don't answer that question. I did find the chart I needed as shown in the link below. It gives the metric, inch, and alphabetical size conversion/comparison.

Try a few M/C shops in your area. One of them is sure to have what you want.
Not sure the brake cover is necessary. It would just add weight. Shimming with a bushing would likely do it.

According to what I found, the single first number is both the tire height and width in inches (the second number is obviously rim size). A couple of links below with explanations.

According to the links, a 3.5-10 would convert to 89/100-10

89 = tire width in millimeters (3.5 inches = 89 millimeters)

100 = height of the sidewall expressed as a percentage of the width

10 = rim diameter in inches
