The first time you rode with other Valkyries.   Shocked  what were you thinking ?
This is a lilgeo and hubcapsc inspired thread.

I was on my 2001 black/silver standard and met up with DD and some others on the way to Alachua for a meet at Conestogas. I was goo goo eyed at the gorgeous bikes. I think maybe somebody slipped me some kool aid that day and i drank it up ! It's been all uphill from there.  smitten

I was thinking there was something wrong with my bike due to the droning when I followed too closely to another Valkyrie.  It sounded like a bomber mission from the old 12 O'Clock High TV show.

Exactly THIS!!!

My very first Valk group ride, maybe a third to half of them had Cobra pipes (or just everyone around me).

I start hearing this Waaaa-ooooo, Waaa-ooo, which gets slowly faster in repetition, then slows again.

I really thought my bike was about to blow up.

I'm looking all over the place down at my bike when we pull to a stop, a guy asks what's wrong, I tell him, and he starts laughing. (Except for Air Flow tips, my exhaust was/remains stock on that bike)

It's happened again of course, and it always seems like all the droning bikes get synced up together like their playing from the same sheet music.

The swarm of the big fat baritone bumblebees.

March 10, 2001, Friendly's in Eustis
We were thrilled, nervous and never left.
Loved the bikes [still do] and ended up loving the people even more.  smitten

I'm soooo happy this group has thrived and just keeps reinventing it self to work with everyone.  cooldude

The meet at 3 bananas last year was my first adventure with y’all. Absolutely loved it and thought I was hooked before that. Now I still love looking at the different bikes and seeing what people are doing. Can’t wait till I build my shop and have a place to start making custom parts and possibly a paint booth. Everyone has been so nice I just wish I had time to do more rides with y’all.

If the ride to Leesburg was not cool enough with four other Valks - Sherry and I on our black Interstate, the Perkins Restaurant parking lot with about 30+ Valks blew my mind. I remember seeing Doug's bike and the Blown!! Jeff K Interstate for the first time.  I did not know where to look.     cooldude   Many years ago
