...yesterday (Friday) for new tags. Kinda snuck up on me this year and by the time I realized Hildr the Valkyrie needed an inspection, I was deep into a ridiculous work schedule that wouldn't allow time for just that! Unfortunately, that meant using the Texas DMV website was not an option...
Luckily, the state has managed to allow you to get your inspection and your tags on the same day...that's right...our state gov'ment got somethin' right!
Even though it was the last "work" day of the month, the wait wasn't too awful long -- about 20 min. -- even though one of the two clerks was absent.
(I will say this...I am amazed at how unprepared folks are when they show up at the DMV to get their tags. Holy Cow! With just a little prep time, folks could cut their DMV time by half...it ain't hard...trust me!
