This is the bike I picked up about a week ago. It had been setting for around two years.

Changed clutch and brakes fluids. Replaced the brake pads front and rear.

Removed the carb bank for carb cleaning.

Carb bank ready for cleaning.

would you please come clean MY carb bank?????????  Hey, a fellow can't help but ask......

i still think i have some low speed jet issues........but i'm not about to pull the carbs myself. I could probably pull em'......but not so sure i'd ever get them back 'in one piece'  Cheesy

i have a little miss every once in a while on the right bank side....i'm pretty sure it's the low speed jet plugged or partially plugged on one carb....only happens BELOW about 2000-2500 RPM...more at about 1200-2000 RPM. Started the last year or so..........i'm at 103k on the 97 Tourer.

hate to spend money to have the Dealer do it. Wish one of you "mechanically inclined" would come do it......i'd serve you Margaritas or beer....before or after.......preferrably after ....... 2funny

Repeating......NO....i'm not going to do it.......every good man has to know his limitations.........

That should be doable. I'll check back with you after the first of the year.

I installed the carbs today after a good cleaning. She fire right up and ran good like a fat lady should. Removed the exhaust and gave them a good cleaning.

Will need to order a new part for the gas tank.

Are you having trouble with your carbs Misunderstood or do you just like seeing the fat lady naked.

Running decent, but feel they are in need of a sync. Want to learn how to do it myself eventually. That way someday I'll be the only guy touching her.  crazy2

I just finished building a manometer to use on my carbs. Will see how it works in the next few weeks. I am going to make a couple small changes on it so it can be used on 2-6 carbs. We will see if it's a success.

Let us know how it works. We may be able to talk you into bringing it to the Tennessee Wrench Party this Spring. You aren't that far over the State line.

Is Yankees allowed to come to ur wrench party?  If so, I may just run down for a look-see.
