I picked up a 97 standard with 37,000. Been setting in the garage for two + years. Gas smells very old. I plan on draining the old and replacing with new premium and carb cleaner before I try to start it. Any thing else that would help? Thanks Terry

I would remove the fuel tank and attach a much smaller aux tank/ fuel container just to confirm that it's not going to start.  That way you can fully drain and clean the bikes gas tank.  I think a carb remove and rebuild is in your immediate future

Premium won't help over fresh regular fuel. Just a waste of money.

I bought a bike that had been sitting for a few years. The bike let me know what needed work. The back tire had a blow out and the carbs needed to be rebuilt.
