Want to lower height of rear brake pedal. Service manual only states a measurement of 3.4" on the threaded rod ( between rod hole and rear mounting hole).  Can I just adjust the rod length? I realize that the switch would also have to be adjusted.

I think you would have to relocate the entire mounting plate for best results

The rod adjustment does allow for a limited range of pedal adjustment; the number in the manual sets the recommend height of the pedal.

For those of us that have installed floor boards the pedal needs to be raised a bit.   You should be able to adjust it so as to be comfort for you

Went ahead and shortened rod length to lower pedal and then adjusted brake light switch. Worked out good. Thanks for replies.
