I just bought my Valkyrie, 1999 Standard 2-tone silver and black, a little over a month ago.

Man, a very nice ride.

A questions or two, and an observation or two.

Does anyone have a copy, or spreadsheet of the maintenance schedule? No owners manual came with the bike.

Just put a different seat, The Ultimate Seat, on the bike. THe stock seat does suck.

My "batwing" is on the way, and once it is installed, I will post a few pics for everyone.

Silver/black - my favorite color combo.  Couldn't find one when I was looking.
Welcome to the funny farm.  You don't have to have a sense of humor to hang here, but it helps.

welcome to the life. I had a silver and black 99 tourer for 34k miles until I found a 2000 Interstate I couldn't live without so I sold the tourer to a guy I work with and get to see it all the time.

Rod, I sent a personal message.  I'll send a spreadsheet of the maintenance schedule via e-mail if you want.

Welcome, Rod.  We too ride a '99 Standard.  You will not be disappointed.

The Valk service manual can be purchased on-line for not a lot of $$$.  We got ours for around $10.  Try pdfdatabase.com or do a google search.  Ride safe, and post photos when you can.

We trudge on.

Welcome.......I think someone is hooking you up with a plan for maintenance, but you really should buy a HONDA service book.  It will pay for itself on no time by helping you keep away from HONDA Dealers!

That would be the color of my bike. I only have leather bags, for the time being.

Currently in Southern California. Next year, some time, I'll be a Tennessee resident

Welcome to the VRCC and the world of Valks! Also, welcome soon
to Tennessee. Which part of the Volunteer state are you going to
be in? And, most important, have you started learning how to
speak "hillbilly" yet? cooldude

There's several Valks in and around Ktown. One of them rides
about a gazillion miles a year. About 125 miles or so from me.
When you decide to ride The Snake give me a yell. MAYBE I'll
be off work and have time to ride a little. Most of my riding
seems's to be "spur of the moment" types. Still fun but it's
also nice to have a planned ride now and then.

Our member Dag from Norway has a nice site, and the Valk svs manual on PDF is on it.

Highly recommend you do some reading in the 'Shop Talk' on this site too.
