Leaky radiator hose
«

Hello
I noticed my upper radiator is leaking where it connects to the engine. I ordered a new hose and plan on putting it on soon. Is it as easy as it looks? Drain the antifreeze...pull off the radiator (easy I hope) and install the new hose. Anything I should know before I start this job? Thanks all!!!

Yes, you should know this is not uncommon and usually fixed by just tightening that clamp. No need to drain the fluid, no need to remove the radiator. Just take out the one bolt at the top, tip it forward and reach in with a socket extension and tighten the clamp.

Using a 1/4" rachet and long extension I was able to tighten the clamp without removing anything. I did epoxy the socket on first to keep it from disappearing.

Plus if you start it and let it warm up it will more than likely stop leaking without tightening the clamp.
