On my way to Seattle and hit a deer outside Cle Elum. Getting towed to a hotel there but in desperate need of a radiator. Anyone nearby have one they could sell me?

Might try pm'ing Nogrey. He is the only one near you that I can think of might have one.

He's closer to Seattle than the Idaho border. I emailed Redline with the link.

Maybe post your contact, and make it easier to let someone contact you directly.

I don't have a spare rad.

Are the IS and std/tourer different?

No spare radiator here. Maybe Buffalobob, at one time, I think he had enough spare parts to build a Valk.

How bad is the radiator? Several years ago I hit a deer and killed it, bent he radiator and cracked the fill inlet. Cleaned it good and patched it with JB Weld. It got me several thousand miles and home.

Because you wanted to get your bike running again and continue your trip. I think this would be my first thought too.

But an overnight shipment from someone like Pinwall, and you could be up and running and continue your trip. Then get the insurance to settle after you're back home. Just get some pictures and keep all receipts. Call your agent and start looking into it.

I’m in Idaho, some 450+ miles away. I wish I did, but don’t have a radiator spare. Sounds like you’ve got a plan in place. Keep us posted if you change your mind on contacting ins. I think I would contact ins and be looking for radiators online. Ins would pay for a new one I imagine. There’s bunches of them on ebay. Of course, getting it to you is the trick.
Just checked Partzilla. There is a difference between the Interstate version and the standard/tourer version. Neither are available new.

Found a spare radiator. Raymond Hill “whooRay“ has one.

I'm curious was that a private trailer you loaded up on? If not was it like a jerr-dan cuz I know a regular tow truck won't really work for a big bike like a valk.

Local tow truck where the breakdown was had a fixture that clamps on the front tire then the bike is tied down. For the trip home it went on the back of a buddy's pickup.

Oh cool, I'm glad it worked out for you and hope it wasn't too expensive not to mention a hassle and a big interruption
