In this case it was a combination of both. From the "Making of" I watched for the WWI documentary "They Shall Not Grow Old" I knew Peter Jackson has a large collection of air-worthy WWI aircraft (Around 70) and I noticed the video you posted was in New Zealand, so I put 2 and 2 together and did a bit of Googling to verify that yup, that's his company...

Oh, and another thing, if you've got a little spare change in your couch cushions, you can take a ride in one of 'em too...
