Got a ride in today with one of our members. Some of you might remember Kurtz, he purchased a Valkyrie last year and had some questions about adding an electric shifter. Real nice guy  cooldude He is traveling around the country seeing the sights. I had completely forgotten about giving him my number, when I got a text asking if I wanted to ride. I figured one of my Valkyrie buddies must have given him my number, and he must be ok. We took off for Oatman and then over to Hualapai Mountain road. He is making his way east and back up to the Chicago area. He wasn’t aware of Inzane being in Taos, hopefully he will make it over there. You guys will like him  cooldude

Thanks. He picked up a real nice, near flawless red & black with only 30k on it. I wish I’d have thought to get a pic of his shifter.

Thanks for sharing Rob, nice scenery, video and music to matched the ride. Who was that?

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

I felt kind of guilty not inviting you up to the Lodge for lunch. Things just developed on a whim.  cooldude

Thanks, Eli. The first song is Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw. I don't remember who did the second song. Actually, I'm not much of a Country music fan. But, I realize not everyone would appreciate AC/DC like I do.  Grin

Rob,

Great post! Nice job capturing the 'magic' of riding out there: the differences elevation can make in scenery and vegetation, the twisty roads, the colorful locals and their take on commercialism, everything! Arizona had to grow on me, but it did take eventually, and it is one of my favorite winter destinations... just can't do those summers, though. BTW, I am a fan of C&W music, so I thought your selections for your vid were excellent! Looking forward to more of these...

I always took you for more of a Cardi B fan...   ???

I stopped at that same Cool Springs spot for water on my first ride on the IS after just picking it up in Glendale, AZ. Did the cruise out toward Havasu, then up with a stop at the Laughlin Rally, on up to visit my daughter in Vegas and then home. I still recall telling the proprietor something like "whew, it's hot out there, where's your ice cold water?", he scoffed, rolled his eyes  Roll Eyes and retorted"Ha... this is cool!".

Nick and I had a similar brief encounter around June Lake Loop later that same year altho the California bred were a bit more law abiding and stayed mostly in their lane...
