I'm thankful that we beat most of the holiday traffic yesterday on the way to my sister's place - We brought three motorcycles, tons of food, libations, tables, chairs and ourselves!

I'm also thankful for the brisk morning ride my wife and I are about to take - We'll have to make it short, so we can help finish decorating and preparing for the family feast.

I'm thankful for this day which will be full of family, fun and feast!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm thankful for family, the USA, that I still have a job, my wonderful friends, and that I'm not cooking this year.

I'm thankful we got the call yesterday...

"Biopsy results--not malignant."

It's been a tense week.

Not sure what I'd do without her...

Thanks to Wanderer for the pic

This is my favorite Holiday.  There isn't the pressure associated with too many others - just family, friends, and reflection.  OK, libations and laughter, too!

No matter how good things seem to be, they're always tenuous.  No matter how bad things seem to be, we can always find something to be thankful for, even if it's only living to fight another day.

Glad everything turned out OK for Carrie, Daniel.

BTW, I could tell who took the pic 'cause it's a little off-kilter.  Kinda like a trained, professional photographer, who rides an IS and a GS might be.   Cheesy

Glad to hear things have taken the more positive fork in the road Daniel!

I spent Thanksgiving at my aunt's farm...

I still can't believe I did this... The spousal unit swears the horse was big enough for me, but... This was maybe the 2nd or 3rd time in my life I've sat on a horse, and the first in 20 years at least...

I think I'll stick to motorcycles. They only move when you tell them to, and where you tell them to! And you're not quite so high up in the air on a bike... And motorcycles only rarely make the conscious decision to head full speed to a low hanging branch to scrape their rider off...

The spousal unit is much more comfortable up there, she grew up around these things...

And the Spawn Unit is taking to it VERY quickly!

Although, the spawn did learn a valuable lesson yesterday...

Do NOT cross the field to a group of horses while carrying a bucket of oats, get the horse's attention, then take off running away from them. They can run faster than she can...

Yeah..... We had a good Thanksgiving...

I didn't even realize 'till I got home, I'd taken over 400 pics on Thanksgiving, but not a single one of the dinner table and us gathered around it...

Here's a shot of turkey #1.

Here's a wildlife shot that captures turkey #1 being ravaged by a flock of turkey-vultures.
