Asking owners of Interstates that have velocity stacks installed. What did you have to do to install them? Post pics if you got them. Thanks!

While I don't have velocity stacks I do have dragon heads on top of the carbs. NO pics. Pods are in the way for the two front carbs. RIDE SAFE.

I have them on Deerslayer which has an IS tank.  I added big fender washers under the front and rear mount tabs at the bolts until there was enough clearance.  No biggy.  Your seat nose might get tighter.  You can see them on this link.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnVHvs_H_IM

Beautiful!  I like how you have the lights inside the velocity stacks.

I installed V-stacks on my 97 with a Interstate tank but I did some mods which I illustrated in the article below…...

I never liked those pods anyway. I yanked them off and sold them for a healthy price. I installed the stacks. I then done my radiator up like a Tourer radiator. Chrome trim and all.

But I DID find out the pods really do a decent job of deflecting some radiator air away from you......or diluting it. Oh well......I am still happy I made the modification.

I don't know if this picture link will work:

I really like my pods with the fog lights. I want to keep them. I have seen a few Interstates with the pods & Velocity stacks.

Yes, they will fit. You will have to trim a little plastic on the inside of the right side. And put a 3/4” spacer under the front tank mount. With that, you will then need to add a little extra rubber under the tank rubbers on the frame rails. All very easily done.  cooldude

The v-stacks were a lot cheaper than the pods  so I cut up the v-stacks. I also raised the tank front and back. The v-stacks are plastic so were easy to file to shape. I'm happy with the finished product

I have never seen plastic V-stacks, mine are polished aluminum. Where did they come from?

I lifted the front of the tank about 1/2 inch.

There were 2 different manufacturers. Aero-mach was one  and the other name escapes me right now.   I think the other manufacturer was Big Bike Parts.I don't like to point it out Meathead but yours look a lot smaller than mine   Grin Grin Grin.

I paid $25 for my set of stacks from  Crazy Larry's shop in Seattle on clearout many years ago.
