It ain't what it was when my family moved here in '67, that' s for sure. I used to be able to disappear into the woods and rarely see another human being on the trails. Now many of the national forests are overrun. The bigger tourist draws are starting to implement reservation systems for some parks, scenic waterfalls, etc. - - some are even adopting lottery systems. And in our cities the homeless are ODing in public libraries and camping (and crapping) on the sidewalks. And our "happy" new governer is hell bent on driving this bus right over the cliff. I cringe every time the "need" for constructing affordable new housing comes up. Denver is offering grants to folks who build rental dwellings in their back yards. I'd much rather the folks who can't afford our state just move out of it.

In NE GA local liberals buy apartments/condos/houses to rehab and then use ONLY for AirBnB rentals. Can they see the irony in their removing properties from the affordable housing market. NO. Hypocrites as usual.

Rode out there on a scooter the first time in '93, and I've been going out there off and on ever since. One thing that strikes me each time I go is that the stunning beauty and majesty of that amazing state simply is not a well-kept secret at all!!! Each new visit reveals more movement in the direction of crowding, congestion, urbanization, culture clash, and the attendant stresses from that evolution... I do love to visit that great place, though...

I was born back east but lived here since I was 12. In the '70s an Uncle from South Jersey visited. When I drove him by one of Denver's beautiful parks he said he'd never seen such a pristine large city. Today that area contains tents, human waste, and drug paraphernalia. That hat says much about what's sadly happened to this state.

AND AND AND AND IF the dems git their way coming soon to a pristine area near you-No matter WHERE you reside. When I lived in Colorado I did in Fact enjoy my time there. Sadly from the reports of those that live there I see no reason to go back. RIDE SAFE.

If fear the decriminalization of Shrooms Colorado past any point of a conservative return.
I was born in Colorado in 76' and lived here my whole life. I use to love living here. Now pot shops are on every corner, backpack beggers wander suburban neighborhoods, the gay governor flaunts his power, liberals moving here have clogged up the roads causing congestion and traffic, and every year my 2nd amendment rights are slowly taken away.
I open carry when I ride (which is legal here). Twice now I have been pulled over because someone saw a madman with a gun on a motorcycle.
Get me outta here!

Where you gonna go? I've been looking at Wyoming. It reminds me a lot of what Colorado used to be like.

My mom lived in Montrose for years. The Valkyrie rallies there in '99 and 2000 were legendary. Western Colorado is awesome, but becoming too crowded in some places. Haven't ruled it out. BTW, my Avatar is from the Charcoalburger Drive-In in Glenwood. It's barely changed since the 60s, except the prices are about 10X what they were then.
