I'm finally installing some used Honda saddlebags. They came with the brackets and stays already mounted. I'm mounting to the Honda rear carrier without a back rest, also used.
By coincidence, both the saddle bags and rear carrier each came with only one thick and one thin spacer each, from two different sources.
The installation instructions don't give actual part numbers for bolts or spacers on either accessory. Does anyone have the bolt sizes (length & diameter) and the two spacer thickness dimensions? I now have an assortment of sizes too choose from, but it's kind of a jumbled mess.
Thanks.

Update: MISTAKE.  Since my saddle bag frames (stays) were already assembled, I thought I'd just install them as is. That was a bad decision. There isn't much room between one of the upper mount bolts and the fender, so I ended up with a scratch in the fender paint. In the end I loosened all the hardware and everything nestled right in place, then tightened everything, but that only leaves a few mm of clearance. Word to the wise; don't make the same mistake as me.

When I installed my saddlebags and sissy bar I used the skinny spacers, the bolts I used i really don't remember, but the 4 are the same from all the ones came in the bags. To hold on place the spacer I used black rtv silicone, because I was doing this alone.

If this is for your GL1500, the front bolts and the rear bolts are different diameter (8mm & 10mm) and different thread pitch (1.25 and 1.5). I don't know the bolt lengths. The spacers are two different lengths as well (don't know off the top of my head).
I suggest you look up the parts fiche to identify the correct bolts and maybe get the Honda spacers. Use the same year, but check the CD version of the bike.

This is for the 1800. The fiche doesn't break the accessories down in that much detail, at least not that I've found. All I can find is "Collar, thin" or "Collar, thick" and "long" or "short" for the 8mm bolts in the installation instructions. No P/N, no dimensions. All I got from the dealer for guidance was a shrug.

Since I bought both the saddlebags and the rear carrier used, and some parts got lost in shipment from both, I don't know what's what.

Right now I have a couple of rusty washers from my Chinese-made Swedish car doing the job, but I have too much Robert M. Pirsig in me to leave it forever.

Which model did the saddlebags come from, or exactly which model do you want to put them on? I find multiple GL1800 models in 2015. Every one has specific parts in the fiche online.

They are going on a 2015 Valkyrie GL1800C, installing Honda saddlebags  08L56-MFY-100C with Honda saddlebag stay kit 08L75-MJR-670, and Honda rear carrier attachment kit  08L72-MJR-67. Since those accessories, not stock items, I only find each of the complete kits without any further breakdown.
Stretch, if you know of another place for that info, that would be great. Thanks.
