I saw this yesterday and thought others would find it as interesting as I did:






An internet search found that someone makes a kit to add an alternator to the 1200 Wings and some have added an alternator to the 1100's as well.

But this one is different.

Somebody must really know their way around a machine shop.

     While it Do look neato it IS positioned to pick up most road gunch/crud/kaka thrown at it. Udder den dat!  Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

I wonder if the belt line is affected for that cam, cam bearings as well.

Function over form. I don't know how far along the project was at the point of the photograph. I hope he did something to clean up the wiring.

There's better methods of mounting an alternator. The 1200's with fairing and other plastice have system available that totally encases the alternator, you can even see it and works great.
